REPRODUCTION NUMBER:  LC-DIG-ppmsca-10749 (digital file from original print) RIGHTS INFORMATION:  No known restrictions on publication. SUMMARY:  Print shows John Bull rapping a French soldier on the head with a cudgel, stomping on a French officer with his right foot, and using his left foot to kick the French nobility out of England and back to France during the Napoleonic era. MEDIUM:  1 print : etching, hand-colored ; 19.2 x 29.9 cm (border, plate marks cropped) CREATED/PUBLISHED:  [England : Publisher not named, between 1800 and 1815] NOTES: Title from item. This record contains unverified, old data from an unpublished P&P checklist, "British Political and Social Cartoons, 1655-1832 ... not in the published catalogs of the British Museum," compiled in 1968 (NC 1470.M4. Vol.1). Probably created 1803-1806. Commercial blockade of England 1804-1805. Not found in British Museum Catalogue (BMC). Most images available on microfilm, "British Political and Social Cartoons, 1655-1832, not in the British Museum," produced by the Library of Congress Photoduplication Service, 1970 (Microfilm LOT 12022).
