SUMMARY:  A satire referring to the "Cock Lane Ghost" shows the interior of a bed-room crowded with men, some church ministers, one possibly Oliver Goldsmith, commenting on the "Cock Lane ghost". Two small children lie in a bed where the ghost of Fanny Lynes, carrying a mallet (used to make knocking sounds) appears on the bedstead head-cloth. One minister looks under the bed while several women stand to the side of the bed. MEDIUM:  1 print : etching, hand-colored.
